Perdix Restaurant

Brand environment

When Perdix Restaurant moved from its cozy Jamaica Plain location to Restaurant Row in Boston's South End, Hood Design helped owner Tim Partridge unify its brand experience inside and out.

Perdix is Latin for partridge, the owners' surname. A stylized image of a partridge nicknamed "the fat bird," designed by an earlier designer was retained for its equity and warmth, but combined with new typography. The exterior sign was fabricated of sandblasted stainless steel.

The project for Perdix also included the design of custom furniture including moveable banquettes, service tables, and translucent screens at the order station separating kitchen and dining room.
