A quote by Vermont writer Dorothy Canfield Fisher was a new addition to the Hall of Inscriptions. The removal of a temporary vestibule at the north end of the corridor created room for two new inscriptions. Here Canfield Fisher addresses the seemingly contrary notion of freedom and communal unity–an ideal resident in Vermont's motto Freedom and Unity.
